Egypt: government – 28 more countries to benefit from electronic tourist visa service
Egypt has added 28 more countries that can obtain e-tourist visa through the new e-visa portal.
Thus, the total number of countries that can benefit from the electronic visa service has increased to 74. This is part of the country’s continued efforts to promote tourism.
This was announced during a cabinet meeting on Monday 23/8/2021, under the leadership of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister called for the development of a program to boost domestic air connectivity connecting coastal towns with Upper Egypt Governorates and the Nile Valley to deliver an integrated Egyptian product including beaches and monuments.
He also affirmed the state’s concern to promote the tourism sector in a way that increases the influx of tourists to Egyptian tourist attractions.
The meeting took place in the presence of the Minister of Tourism Khalid el Anani, the Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, the Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Sharawi, the Minister of Health Hala Zayed, the Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar Enabah, as well as the director of the Department of Military Museums, Major General Abdel Khaleq Abdel Hamid, Deputy Minister of the Interior for the Tourism and Antiquities Sector Ayman Shaker, President of the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Ahmed el -Wasif, and other officials.
