Gambia: all staff in the tourism industry welcome to get vaccinated


In accordance with international protocols related to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture hereby requests all operators in the tourism and leisure industry to have their staff fully vaccinated.

Therefore, tour operators and hotels, bars and restaurants, casinos and nightclubs, swimming pools, exchange offices, taxi operators, hairdressing salons and salons, gymnasiums, fruit vendors, shops and guest houses and lodges, Tourist guides , bird watchers, owner boats, guest houses, camps and lodges, travel agents, beauty and massage parlors, mini / supermarkets, museums and art galleries, juice presses, horse riders, equipment rental companies, tourist facilities in the hinterland, cultural and historical sites and tourist markets within tourism Development zones (TDAs) are strictly instructed to comply with this directive.

Operators who do not comply with this directive will no longer be safe to participate in the next tourist season.

Likewise, any business entity within the designated TDA which employs unvaccinated personnel in violation of this directive will be rendered unsafe and unfit to operate during the tourist season and will not be authorized by The Gambia Tourist Board or any government agency to operate a business.
