Jet2, TUI, easyJet, BA, Ryanair latest: 68 unvaccinated countries can travel as Greece, Portugal and Cyprus update rules

There are now 68 countries you can travel to if you are not vaccinated against the coronavirus, as the rules ease further around the world.

A number of destinations popular with British tourists, including Spain, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus, have updated their entry requirements in recent days to make it easier to travel abroad for holidays and business .

The UK relaxed most of its entry rules in relation to Covid-19 last month and now other nations are following suit after new restrictions were imposed during the Omicron wave.

New Spanish measures introduced this week mean anyone who has not been vaccinated against coronavirus but has recovered in the last six months can now enter the country.

Anyone from the UK can visit Spain for tourism purposes if you can present valid proof of compliance with vaccination requirements or a medical certificate showing that you have recovered from Covid-19 within the last six months before the travel.

Over the past two years, international travel has been banned during various lockdowns and severely restricted at other times. And even when allowed to cross borders, travelers have faced a myriad of testing requirements and additional forms to fill out, WalesOnline reports.

For those who are completely stung, there is no longer any obligation to test when returning to the UK. The only Covid-related requirement still in place for all travelers is the Passenger Locator Form, although it has been reported that this may also be removed.

For overseas travel, children aged 12-15 in England can now prove their vaccination status or proof of previous infection via a digital NHS COVID Pass. For those who are not vaccinated, entry into the UK no longer requires self-isolation.

But which countries are open to the unvaccinated?

The list below shows countries that are currently accepting unvaccinated people for tourism purposes and where you do not need to be a resident or citizen or have recently recovered from Covid.

Few of them require some form of quarantine either. However, the rules may change at short notice, so the best thing to do before traveling is to visit the government’s overseas travel advice website.
