If you hold a valid Indian passport, you can visit 60 countries around the world without needing a visa first. India is ranked 87th in the Henley Passport Index 2022 with visa-free access to 60 countries. India’s Passport Power, however, fell two positions to 87th in the index.

After the Covid-19 outbreak, the Indian government suspended international travel in March 2020. The ban was lifted this year in March after almost two years.

Henley & Partners ranks countries based on hassle-free visa entry to number of nations. The index contains 17 years of data that enables individuals and governments to have visa-free and visa-on-arrival access to travel the world.
