Top 10 Vacation Destinations Brits Are Booking Following Latest Red List Update, Including Cape Verde, Turkey, Canary Islands And Even Some U.S. Destinations

Cape Verde is one of the last vacation options for Britons

Cape Verde has become the main holiday destination for Britons after being one of 47 countries removed from the red list earlier this month, along with Mexico and Thailand.

Latest update on UK travel means Britons will not need to stay in a quarantine hotel upon returning from formerly redlisted destinations, let alone the Foreign Office which allows travel non-essential.

Now, TravelSupermarket revealed the top 10 most booked destinations over the past week, including those that saw an increase after the red list was announced – and Cape Verde came out on top. (You can see the full list below).

The country has been the most booked destination over the past week, not to mention the package vacation comparison website which recorded a 133% spike among Britons looking to vacation. It is also now the fourth most sought after.

Of course, it’s no surprise that Cape Verde has a proven track record, given that it’s one of the countries open to Britons for vacations.

At the time of writing, its entry rules for UK holidaymakers include the need for a Covid certificate or proof of a PCR test or negative antigen test taken within 72 hours of travel , as well as complete two forms before travel.

It wasn’t the only winter destination to prove itself last week. Other popular hotspots such as the Canary Islands and Turkey have also caused a sensation with vacationers.

Meanwhile, as the United States prepares to lift its ban on British travelers in early November for the double blow, the British have also booked vacations to the United States with New York and Vegas also making the top 10. .
