Travel news: Denmark lifts all Covid restrictions, Hawaii asks tourists to stay away
(CNN) – Since March 2020, potential travelers have experienced more turbulence on the ground than in the air. As always, however, CNN Travel is on hand to guide you through safety guidelines and direct you to the nearest exits.
1. The Bahamas, Sint Maarten and others have been added to the US “do not travel” list
The CDC is now advising Americans not to plan a vacation to the Bahamas.

They moved to number one on August 23, along with Sint Maarten, Haiti, Kosovo and Lebanon. The recommendation for these destinations is to avoid all non-essential travel.
2. Seven new destinations have been added to the UK’s “green list”
Canada, including Niagara Falls, has been added to the UK’s “green list”.

Thailand and Montenegro have moved to the UK’s “do not travel” red list.
3. Denmark will lift all Covid restrictions on September 10

Denmark is among the top 10 most vaccinated countries in the world, and it is marking this pandemic success by lifting all its remaining Covid restrictions on September 10.
4. Hawaii asks tourists to stay away

Covid cases are at an all time high, with nearly 5,000 new cases reported last week.
“We know now is not the right time to travel to the islands,” said Ige. “Visitors who choose to come to the islands will not have the kind of typical vacation they expect to get when they visit.”
5. Venice employs armed guards to deal with crowded ferries

Tourists have returned to Venice, with up to 80,000 visitors a day flocking to the city of 50,000, according to local media.

10. Disney Cruise Line has issued a vaccination warrant for crossings to the Bahamas
The Bahamas have joined the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s “Level 4: Very high Covid-19” travel risk list – and although Disney Cruise Line still cruises there, starting September 3, all passengers 12 years of age and over must be fully vaccinated.
Customers who choose not to provide proof of vaccination will not be allowed to board the ship, according to the cruise line. The mandate will be effective until November 1 at least.
